NOTES FROM LAST CLASS:
Level 1: 6 beat

Leads: Left, Right, L,R, R,L. Follows: Right, Left, R,L, L,R
- Passby: Leads, stay on the spot, and pull the follow down your right side. Follows, turn to your left shoulder as you pass him and back out the other side.
- Leftie: Leads, stay on the spot, and pull the follow down your left side. Follows, turn to your right shoulder as you pass him and back out the other side.
- Pull to the side (closed): Leads, pull your partner to your right side, and catch follows around the back, into closed.
- Homework: try to figure out how to get back into open J
Level 2: 6 Beat, with the tempo up a little
- Here’s the mini routine we did:
Closed Basic
Tuck Turn
Passby
Open Basic
Leftie
Open Basic
Banana Peel
Pull to Closed
- Tip 1: Leads: Lead the move! Follows: let him lead it!
- Tip 2: Make your footwork smaller, and keep the pulse. Follows can “chug” when you have longer distances to travel
- Tip 3: Keep your shoulders back and down.
- Tip 4: Follows keep moving until the end of your line, without letting your shoulder forward
