Sore legs and happy hearts!

Andy and Shob are nursing their aching muscles but are filled with blues goodness after an amazing weekend at Blues Before Sunrise.   Hope all those of you we saw out in the wee hours had an amazing time..was great to see so many of you in class too!  Send us a note if you’d love more blues classes at Nth Melbourne this year because we have heaps more to show you!

Welcome to our big group of new students from the last 2 weeks..we hope you’ll become part of our crazy fun family and start a lifetime of loving lindy hop!

***FLYING FUN IN THE PARK***  Sunday March 28^th

Shob and Andy will teach a fun beginners aerial class in the park….followed by a big picnic with games, muffins and all possible shenanigans!  More details TBA but keep the date free!

This week’s class line-up is:           

Level 1 Beginners at 6:30 pm – Side by Side Charleston into 20s

This class is open to all..you can start anytime..and it will give you great swing dancing foundations.  Bring a friend or workmate, make some friends and have a ball!

This week is a great transition class, from the side by side charleston into 20s charleston. And then some roaring 20s move to finish!

Level 2 at 7:30 pm –Feel the momentum

One of Shob and Andy’s favourite classes..how we can use momentum to get that gushy connection that we love.  It will unlock endless new moves for you on the social floor

Level 3 at 8:30 pm –  Lindy to charleston and back

Now that we’re swinging out fast, we are in a great position to explore adding charleston to our lindy hop.  This can be a tricky topic and we have lots of material to get through so we may run this over the next 2 to 3 weeks. Something every intermediate dancer needs to know!

Social Dancing

Social dancing at North Melbourne is a unique experience with a cool atmosphere, fun dancers, and two DJs every week.  It’s $6 dollars at the door and goes from 9:30 pm til midnight.  If you take the classes, social dancing is free.  Enjoy the big, beautiful dance floor, air conditioning, and the fantastic, friendly (and slightly crazy) North Melbourne crew.  All welcome!
