How on earth are we nearly in May?!! I can't believe it! This time last year, I (Loz) was preparing to head overseas for 3 months on a big dancing/sightseeing adventure in the US, UK, and parts of Europe. Joel and I actually hung out together at dance event in Seattle in May last year and here we are teaching together now!

There is a lot of awesome dancing to be had in May and many opportunities to get out there and start social dancing!
Thursday 6th May - "Hop Off" with Michael McQuaid's Red Hot Rhythm Makers
The Rhythmmakers are an amazing band and we are so lucky to be able to dance to them playing LIVE hot jazz! You can do a free 30min swing class with Loz and Cam, and then social dance the night away to live music!!!!!

A chance to see what the wider swing community is all about, meet new people, watch some performances (maybe see your teacher performing!), and enjoy dressing up a bit.
Each region is giving a colour to wear so we can easily identify people from venues near us and this year, Kew, along with Brunswick and Thornbury, get to wear PURPLE!!!!
Don a little or a lot, but get something purple on ya so we know who our fellow venue-goers are!

Coming Up next week
Level 1 is going to finish off the Shim Sham and do some social dancing preparation in time for the Meet the Scene Ball, and our Level 2/3's are going to get all fancy pants with some fun footwork variations in 8-beat.
