North Melbourne Shines at AJC!

While Andy and Shob are living in up in Bali celebrating wedding of our dear friends Josh and Cal, North Melbourne is still pushing forward with the normal class format. North Melbourne's lucky to have the Dynamic Teaching Duo of Noni and Mike taking the reins with three great classes!!

On with the dancing this week..in anticipation of our up coming BIG BAND NIGHT on Sept 2nd. Really excited to have both Swing Patrol troupes Brat Pack and Harlem Shout performing and of course live music all night. This is a really special event so don’t miss out!

This week’s class line-up is:           

Level 1  at 6:30 pm – 6 beat rhythm!

 

This class is open to all…you can start anytime...and it will give you great swing dancing foundations.  Bring a friend or workmate, make some friends and have a ball!

 

Creating fun shapes using 6 Beat with Triple steps.

 

Level 2 at 7:30 pm – Week 3 of the ROUTINE!

 

The routine is looking amazing and we are having a ball teaching it to you! Take a little time to practice during the week..will make a huge difference in class. This week is a 20s Charleston section that’s our most challenging yet but tons of fun

 

Level 3 at 8:30 pm – Think you know how to lead and follow? 

 

It can be easy for everyone to fall into leading patterns and anticipating a lead. This is a great class to really challenge the way you think about leading and following the core fundamentals of swing dancing. This class will definitely give you something to work on with your own dancing. 

 

 

Social dancing

 

Social dancing at North Melbourne is a unique experience with a cool atmosphere, fun dancers, and two DJs every week.  It’s $6 dollars at the door and goes from 9:30 pm til midnight.  If you take the classes, social dancing is free.  Enjoy the big, beautiful dance floor, air conditioning, and the fantastic, friendly (and slightly crazy) North Melbourne crew.  All welcome!
