LINDY HOP in level 1 and the RINGWOOD ROUTINE!
Ringwood (Ringwood RSL)
13 Sep 2010
Thanks for coming out last week and giving it a shot - we loved watching you all get into the dance, whether it was your first level 1 lindy hop class, you were trying on something new in level 2, or you were BRINGING IT with your SHIMMYS! in our routine!
We are starting a beginners course in the 8 beat lindy hop rhythm, the most famous (and some would say, most enjoyable) rhythm! This is a great way to kick-start your social dancing and get you out on the dance floor, and is essential if you are looking to move up to Level 2. No experience necessary, come along and give it a shot!
We'll be working on some more sweet moves in this class to pop into your lindy hop. NOTHING TOO CRAZY! yum yum!
Come along and learn out sweet little routine! It's really nice cruisy routine, and a great little challenge for dancers at Level 2 and up. We will have some footage up soon so you can all have a look! The routine will be performed at the Swing Patrol Performance Ball on 30th October. But the routine class isn't only for dancers who want to perform on the night. Learning a routine is such a great way to work on your dancing, bond with your classmates, have a heap of fun, and challenge yourself in the process. So if you feel like coming along and learning a routine, give it a crack, and make sure to let your dancin' friends know where the action is AT!
