St Kilda Update for Feb 2011

Hello to all our dedicated St Kilda Students.
Now that Middle Park is off and running and we know for sure that Joel is going away we can make some definite plans for SP St Kilda.
The management of the Inkerman Hotel were very upset with the owners' decision to change around their function room, use it for other puprposes and cease classes and activities there. They were very sweet and rather wistful on the phone.
Joel is going away (Waaaaaaaaa!) and I will be hunting for a St Kilda Venue later this week. From the list I have, many are not available and I wont trouble with the hunt so far but we usually look at 20 or so venues before we find one that will work and I"m about half way at the moment.
The venue will be east of St Kilda Rd keeping with the East St Kilda theme. I'll be aiming for a Monday night but realise it comes down to availability of the venue and teachers. Once I have a short list of possible venues Joel and Gemma and I will discuss the options and go from there.
I know some of you have requested "not mondays - we want to go to the Toff" and i'll take that in consideration. Similarly, it would be unwise to go for tuesdays on the same night as Middle Park. I realise that Middle Park does not have an L3 or 2.5 class but if you all go we could make that happen... just a thought.
I"m sorry not to have an answer for you yet but now Middle Park is set things may well go very quickly from here.

PS Thanks for yuor concern about Joel. He's fine. He has recently confirmed a 6 month filming job in Sydney, thus the absence from St Kilda for a while. CONGRATULATIONS JOEL!!
