Howdy Everyone,

Welcome to Melbourne's hippest venue! We offer great classes, social dancing & great bar.
Come join us for some fun while other venues are closed.

6:30pm Level 1 CHARLESTON 1920s UNDERBELLY RAZOR STYLE
Come and do the dance of the Gangsters & Flappers, tap step tap step rhythm!
Developing in America, the Charleston became a popular dance craze in the wider international community during the 1920s. Biggest dance crazy of the decade! In this later Charleston form, the hot jazz timing of the 1920s Charleston was adapted to suit the swing jazz music of the '30s and '40s.

7:30pm Level 2&3 "California Routine"
Created in the middle of 1941, the California Routine is one of the most pervasive and recognizable Lindy Hop routines. Originally choreographed in the middle of 1941, the California Routine represents one of Frankie Manning’s interpretations of Jumpin’ at the Woodside. Created for the movie Hellzapoppin’, the routine featured four couples, all members of Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers.
Known throughout the Lindy Hop world as essential classic choreography, a must-know for anyone interested in troupe, perfect for competition dancing, and increase the tempo of your social dancing.
