Launching Level 2.5

Hi all!
Classes have been JUMPING lately at Red Bennies with our biggest group of dancers come to date. So, we've decided to step things up a notch and launch a NEW Level 2.5 class!
For the next SIX WEEKS, we will be running two exciting courses! From 6 February til 12 March, we will be learning the 8 beat lindy hop rhythm in Level 1, and an Intro to Blues and Lindy hop in our NEW Level 2.5 class! But don't worry, as always, our classes are drop in and there is no need to book or stress if you miss a week here or there!
CLASS SCHEDULE:
7pm: Level 1 - All Welcome, no experience necessary!
This is a total beginners class, where we will be assuming no prior dancing knowledge at all. For the next six weeks we will be learning the 8 beat lindy hop rhythm, which is the mainstay of the swing dances and some would say, the most fun! Mastering this rhythm is essential if you are seeking to get out on the social floor and start social dancing, or moving up a level. Each week we will go over the footwork and the basics, gradually building on our knowledge week by week. But don't worry, we will not be assuming any prior knowledge in any of these classes, so if you miss a class or drop in later in the course, you will be absolutely fine!
8pm: Level 2.5 - This class assumes basic knowledge of the major swing dance styles, including 8 beat lindy hop and blues
The idea of this class is to bring the lindy hop and blues styles together, and give you an opportunity to explore how they can function together - since we often learn them separately. Blues is a style of dance that we LOVE to dance and teach. It's very simple to learn as well, so if you are not familiar with it but are comfortable with the other swing dance styles, you should be able to pick this up as we go. This will be fun, challenging and hopefully open your swing world to a whole new way of seeing the dance. This class will be a little more challenging than the usual level 2 class, so come prepared for a challenge!
