Frankston Moosletter  9 February 2012

A great big smiling hello to all our Moosletter readers!

We appreciate you taking the time to read our wise words and keep up with the Frankston Swing vibe.  Feel free to let us know if you have any great new ideas for sections in our Moosletter!  I hear there may even be a new banner in the pipelines!

Our first week of regular classes turned out to be far from regular!  Level 1 did a fantastic job grooving their way through some rotating and turning 6 beat moves.  Level 2 (which was made up of mostly level 3's) took a technical look at some catch and rotation techinque which put a whole new light on old moves.  Level 3 became our all in class as we finished off the Big Apple and boy, did we smash it!  Everyone was exhausted by the end of it but there was a real sense of achievement amongst the dancers.  We can't wait until Frankston dominates the next time the Big Apple hits the social floor!

CLASS NOTES

LEVEL 1 - 7pm

Week 3 in our 6 beat sensation!  We'll cover the basic as well as give you a chance to revise and polish up what we did last week.  Then we'll be adding some new moves to further expand your dance repertoire.  Level 1 is always a blast so come down and join in the fun!

Level 2 - 8pm
Level 2 is set to be a barrel of fun this week!  We'll be twirling our way through all sorts of barrel rolls with something new for everyone!  Come down and learn some new moves, revise some old ones and, if you've done it all before, then let's really push your technical skill!

Level 3 - 9pm

In the weeks to come we'll be delivering some piping hot classes from the international teachers at Swing Camp Oz. This week is from the French Dynamite duo Thomas and Alice.  But don't worry, we're not too star struck with international teachers, we've got some great warm up moves from our home grown heroes too!  Also, if you're a regular for this class we'll be looking to get some of you thoughts on what kind of content and direction you'd like to see Level 3 take on this year.  Be sure not to miss this week!

As always tonnes of dancing!
