Authentic Jazz and Tap for Lindy Hoppers with Ramona Staffeld
Join New York Lindy Hop champion and Tap dancer Ramona Staffeld for this exciting and hugely fun short course in Tap or Jazz or both. From learning new ways of moving to improving your rhythm - there will be something for swing dancers of all levels to enjoy.Tap Dance has shared roots with the lindy hop and needs little introduction. It developed and flourished during the last century and for a time was even called jazz dance, because jazz was the music with which tap dancers performed. And you can learn it too. Bring your hard soled shoes and make some noise for the neighbours to love!
There is also the chance to discover, brush up, or fine tune your solo jazz skills. Learn awesome solo steps that show us lindy hoppers what can be done without a partner. Build your solo vocabulary and work on styling solo moves to look great.

Level : Routine for Intermediate Lindy Hoppers
Ramona would like to invite all intermediate lindy hoppers who have been wanting to try out moving without a partner. Improving your ability to dance solo will infinity improve your ability to connect and relate to another person.
Find your own personal style, and you will without a doubt stand out. Ramona will cover such basic steps as fall off the log, Suzie Q, Stomps, sways, slip slops, mess around, kick ball change, half break, full break, Shorty George, apply jacks, and the skip up. These basic jazz steps are an important part of the liny hop, giving it social and historical context. In addition to expanding your mental knowledge, this will be a DANCE class.
