c. Swing Patrol South Yarra
TWO killer classes at Red Bennies!
Joel and Laura are teaching an 8 beat lindy hop drop in course in Level 1, and an ALL NEW Level 2.5 class on Monday nights at Swing Patrol South Yarra!
7pm Level 1pm – 8 beat lindy hop for beginners - no experience necessary!
For the next 5 weeks we will be learning the 8 beat lindy hop rhythm, which is the mainstay of the swing dances and some would say, the most fun! Mastering this rhythm is essential if you are seeking to get out on the social floor and start social dancing, or moving up a level.
8pm Level 2.5 – Introduction to lindy hop & blues
For the next 5 weeks, we will be focusing on bringing the lindy hop and blues styles together, to give you an opportunity to explore how they can function together. Blues is a style of dance that we LOVE to dance and teach. This will be fun, challenging and hopefully open your swing world to a whole new way of seeing the dance.

e. Thornbury on Tuesdays
Ydance 909 High St Thornbury
What’s the missing link between Charleston & Lindy??
Break-Away Charleston! It started face–to-face and then they got inventive & let go of one hand to “open” position. It’s so fun to learn the history and honor the dance. Learning Break-Away will improve your Lindy and is especially good for fast dancing.
The deets.
See you there,
Mike & Noni
f. Ladies Night at Balpit
Follows, the spot light is on you next Tuesday (and yes fellas, there’s something for you too).
