Georgia Brooks
Georgia starting dancing in 2005 when she walked up the stairs of CBD
nightclub to meet her friend (and now SP teacher) Tessa. Georgia was
immediately mesmerised by what she saw and has remained in love with
the dance ever since.
Georgia has been a part of Swing Patrol
troupes Brat Pack, Scat Pack (now Harlem Shout) and Echoes of Harlem
over the years, as well as competing and placing in the Sydney
Jitterbug Championships, Australian Jitterbug Championships and
Melbourne Lindy Battle. But it's definitely the social dance floor she
loves the most. After teaching at Blues nights over the years, as well
as at Church City Blues in Adelaide, Georgia is excited to become a
member of the Swing Patrol teaching team.
Georgia recently
completed her Bachelor of Music, and when she's not on the dance floor,
you can find her singing away or leading her beautiful community choir,
the Bella Mammas.
