Swing Patrol & COVID-19: November Update

by swingadmin on 9th November 2020

We are pleased to see the turnaround in infection numbers and that our society is on the path out of coronavirus restrictions, especially with the holiday season on the horizon. However, as a community based on social partner dancing, an indoor full-contact aerobic exercise, we feel we need to be extra cautious, and be conscious of aerosol spread and “next waves”. We therefore intend to wait until 2021 before resuming regular classes, workshops and social dance activities. Our priority is the health and safety of our community, including our students, teachers, door staff and DJs, and the staff and other users of the venues in which we dance. We want to wait until we can be confident that it is safe to resume, and with little risk of having to cancel our whole timetable again.

As we make our plans for re-opening, we need to understand how people feel about returning to dancing. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey to tell us your thoughts about dancing in COVID Normal Times.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page, and this website, where we will announce our plans for re-opening in 2021.
