TOMORROW, NOV 19: Learn to Switch Dance in a Day. It's almost upon us now!https://t.co/JCXGS4z2ND https://t.co/0NwFi4KPjJ
Long harbouring the thought that “a man really ought to know how to dance something”, Luke began his encounters with swing dancing in 2007, and discovered his true dance love, Balboa, in 2010. Since then, Luke has had a voracious appetite for all things Balboa, and has established himself as a leader within the local scene as an ever-present social dancer, Balboa DJ, choreographer and instructor (2017 will be Luke’s third year as Balpit anchor). Luke regularly places in Balboa competitions, and in 2014 received 1st place in the Australian Jitterbug Championships Balboa Division. In 2015 Luke participated at the invitation-only Balboa camp The Balboa Experiment, held in North Carolina. In his dancing, Luke strives for technical precision, elegance of movement, joyous creativity and a deep connection with the music shared with one’s partner via subtle two-way communication. For Luke this is the essence of Balboa, and which he looks forward to sharing with you!
