We’re loving The National Jazz Museum in Harlem YouTube channel, with plenty of fascinating listening sessions feat… https://t.co/7IYrKcq7d7
With over 10 years’ experience under her belt, Tanya still can’t get enough of the infectious vintage goodness that is swing dancing. Following Lindy Hop around the world, Tanya lived and taught dance in London for 3 years, and competed around the globe. Now residing in Melbourne where she first took to the dance floor, Tanya continues to compete, perform, and teaches fortnightly classes. From events like St Kilda Festival and Melbourne Zoo Twilight Sessions, to local gigs alongside live jazz bands, Tanya is no stranger to the stage. Sought after in the UK, Tanya performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Wimbledon Theatre, and at regular cabaret clubs including the former Pigalle Club on Piccadilly Circus, and the infamous Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.
Tanya’s teaching approach is suitable to beginners and advanced dancers alike. She has a knack for breaking down moves as much as classes require, all the while making it enjoyable along the way. She also likes to sneak in a bit of history in each class. Come along and find out how much fun you can have in one session!
