Fitzroy Blues Dancing

SUMMER SCHEDULE –
Last class for 2018: Thu 20 Dec
Return 2019: Thu 10 Jan

Did you know you can dance to blues music?

Blues dancing is a wide collection of individual vintage dances, created and danced alongside blues music. Originating in the African-American communities where blues music was born, blues is now danced all over the world.

Easy to pick up and hard to master, blues dancing is a rich tapestry of rhythms and movements, focussing on a deep connection with your partner and the music.

——

“Mostly you played for the dancers” – Johnny Shines, a delta blues guitarist who began his career in 1932.
